“Let them give glory to the LORD and declare His praise...” (Isaiah 42 v 12)
Why do this?
Well there are many reasons
To glory in God,
But primarily to give praise
And the highest thanks for Jesus,
From whom all blessings flow.
Jesus sends us His Spirit of truth,
That we may understand our position
As children adopted by a love most holy.
“ ‘Behold My servant whom I uphold. My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles’.” (Isaiah 42 v 1)
Jesus is the One who justifies us,
Our new position as having been made righteous
At His † of suffering, a perfect offering,
A sacrifice winning forgiveness for us.
And the power of holy love being so strong,
Our Saviour Brother could not be held in a tomb forever.
The Holy Spirit who had incarnated Him,
Brought Him back to life miraculously
To be the living Word of God amongst us.
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom also, we have access by faith into His grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Romans 5 v 1, 2)
The Spirit reveals to us the truth about Jesus:
He is the Alpha and Omega of our faith;
The living and abiding Word as promised,
Fulfilling each and every promise of our Father;
Jesus is the living Bread come down from heaven
That we be fed on all holy wisdom and truth.
He is the perfect Son, the Holy One,
We must look up to and offer worship through;
His is the way to live, the truth to stand in
And the life of hope, peace and joy we experience.
“ ‘I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly’.” (John 10 v 10)
“ ‘And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also’.” (John 14 v 3)
What a faith we have, as the Lord Jesus is everything wholesome and worthy in life, revealing this by the Holy Spirit, and the hope of future glory in our heavenly homeland is secured. What more could anyone
possibly want or need? Please pray in thanksgiving to our Father. Amen.
